I had been clean and sober for 10 years. God had come into my life and separated me from 40 years of living an alcoholic and addict life that was full of all the misery, suffering and all the loss that goes with that way of living. My first addictive behavior, before the alcohol and drugs was compulsive overeating and bulimia. Although God had saved me from the alcohol and the drugs, I could not get free from the compulsive overeating, binge eating and purging. I searched high and searched low for 10 years inside and outside of the rooms for a solution.
Just when I was sure there was no answer for me and I was ready to resign myself to living life a slave to this merciless obsession a woman approached me with the solution. She took me to the beginning of the Big Book and we worked the steps precisely as shown through the BBA and I got free that day!!! I have remained free now for almost 6 years and continue to work the steps the BBA way. My HP keeps taking me further than I could have ever even imagined was possible in every area of my life. There is Hope. There is Freedom. There is a Solution. There is a God who can take you further than you have ever imagined possible in every area of your life.
